Just bought an IdeaCentre K410 off the shelf at Best Buy which had Windows 7 Home on it. I wiped it and put Windows 7 Ultimate x64 on it in order to get a clean image to start with. I've found all of the drivers but for some reason, I still have one remaining 'device' in my device manager with the yellow exclamation point. Its labeled as 'Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller' and I can't seem to find the right driver for it. I downloaded the one listed on the drivers and support page for the K410 (the USB 3.0 controller - ) but it says its not supported on my OS. Any ideas as to where I can find the right one? I tried running the extracted setup.exe in W7 x86 and XP SP3 compatibility mode and had no luck. This package installs the software (USB3.0 driver) to enable the following device. - Intel USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller Driver- Intel USB 3.0 Root Hub. Its labeled as 'Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller' and I can't seem to find the right driver for it. I had the exact same issue after downgrading Windows 8 to Windows 7 x64 on a Lenovo Ideacentre K410 and was able to get everything running without any errors except the USB 3.0 Controller, so running a scan through driveridentifier.com. Strangly, all of my USB ports are working so not sure what to do here. Hi Welcome To Lenovo Community We are really sorry to hear about the issue you are facing, Please open device manager right click on the USB device which is showing in yellow mark Properties go to details tab and check for hard ware ID. Please share the same to help you with the right set of drivers Do give this a try and let us know Hope This Helps Cheers!!! Thanks for the reply. Here are the hardware ID's you requested PCI VEN_1912&DEV_0015&SUBSYS_300017AA&REV_02 PCI VEN_1912&DEV_0015&SUBSYS_300017AA PCI VEN_1912&DEV_0015&CC_0C0330 PCI VEN_1912&DEV_0015&CC_0C03 A quick Google search turns up that this hardware ID is associated with the which is the driver package I downloaded from Lenovo support. Just for kicks, the Google search returned a link to the HP hosted version of this driver package. I downloaded and installed the HP versions (sp53291.exe and sp52146.exe) and still no luck. Thanks for the help! Hi jvbeardsley, (and anyone else who comes across this issue) I had the exact same issue after downgrading Windows 8 to Windows 7 x64 on a Lenovo Ideacentre K410 and was able to get everything running without any errors except the USB 3.0 Controller, so running a scan through driveridentifier.com gave me various driver links with different manufactorers, but it wound up being the h1100136 sunix USB 3.0 Driver. When you are installing it (and when it is in Device Manager) it shows the installation as Renesas Electronics USB 3.0 Host Controller. Very interesting. Here is where I found the correct driver: Take care! Thank You SOOOOO Much. I just went through the hell of having my ideacentre getting virus infested. The factory recovery partition was damaged so I paid for disks from Lenovo. They would complete, but the install of windows 8 would fail. Lenovo gave me the worst run around of all time. Ended up throwing in the towel on my OEM licensed copy of windows 8 and installing windows 7 ultimate. Computer works like a dream. 1000 windows updates later and I noticed my USB 3 controller wasnt working. A quick google took me here. I made an account just to say Thank You.and I guess to tell you my whole life story about my windows reinstall. What a corrupted and terrible system they have going now with this EUFI bios and all this mess. It shouldnt take 12 hours to reinstall windows and still fail. Windows 7 took 20 minutes to install, but thanks to you, my usb 3 ports at the bottom work now. Wrote: Just bought an IdeaCentre K410 off the shelf at Best Buy which had Windows 7 Home on it.
